I thought I'd share this here, this is a very early WIP of a scene of PSO's Hunter's Guild room in Ep1. I used no references and did no research beforehand. It's not totally accurate geometrically but I think it's not bad for only about 2 hours of work, maybe a little bit more. The only textures are the Quake 2 banner I made for tastyspleen.tv, just needed something to place behind the counter, and the starfield behind Ragol is a texture as well on the inside of a sphere. Pardon the lack of antialiasing, sss or reasonable resolution, but I didn't have time to render at that detail earlier today, and really for this silly thing it's not worth the effort yet. Here's the short animation of it: I've been considering beginning work on a possible PSO-related project, likely a sortof Episode 5 story singleplayer sort of thing in a first person shooter game. Have a long way to go with that conceptually still. Anyways I thought i would share.

Very nice, that Hunter's Guild looks pretty smooth. ^^

That actually looks somewhat accurate, if not a few things here and there that i'm too tired to list at the moment... @.@
Good show

Indeed, it is pretty smooth. I especially liked your work on Ragol with the swirling cloud cover.

thank you ^^ I especially had to have the swirley clouds, I always thought it was a bit funny that Ragol has like 8000mph winds the planet surface is just a crappy procedural texture with a couple of layers to get the sort of "landmass" looking bits, i may attempt to paint my own texture for it if i try again, also if I do start a new one it will be more accurate for sure

Cool, I'll be happy to watch when you're done with that.
