Seems this great fighting game (would have been a trilogy) got shut down by Sega of Japan in the past because it was an obstacle for Virtua Fighter. What arrogance eh?

Never played Eternal Champions, but I don't see why they shut it down. Having both, wouldn't really be an obstacle. I'm quite sure other game companies have more than one fighting game series. Due to me not playing many and being horrible at fighing games, I can't really name many because all I know is Street Fighter, Soul Calibur, Power Stone, Guilty Gear and Smash Bros.
