As you all know, some people could see the team's goal as "heroic" you could say, one of my close friends, Rain, made a touching observation that compared the team to these videos:
All videos are from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

She said that I could be symbolized by Cloud, she as Tifa, Rosin as Aerith, the rest of the team as the rest of the group inside the airship, and finally Kadaj as the bad people of the server as well as the bad influences.
The conversation she feels matches as well, so read the subtitles as well.

In this video, once again I'm symbolized by Cloud, and Sephiroth is the symbolization of the "badness" of the server, Rain once again says Cloud's lines seem to match me, in particular these bits of dialogue:
"And what will happen to this planet?"
"Who knows. It's all up to you."
"Interesting... what made you stronger?"
"I don't want to tell it to the likes of you!"
"You're pitiful. You don't understand anything. There's nothing that isn't important to me!"

This video she feels shows how I appreciate all the help you guys give me in making this community a better place and watching it I feel is enough for you to figure it out how I can't do this by myself ^^.
Edit: More of a direct quote now,
"Looking at how you are and how the team is doing, I feel they can all be seen as the cast of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, especially the scenes where they fight Bahamut Sin, Cloud fights Kadaj, and Cloud fights Sephiroth again. It just feels Kadaj and Sephiroth represent the monotony, badness, and that feeling of superiority you talked about that's in PSO. Sephiroth's little dialogue with Cloud can also show this.
Cloud himself I feel is you, both from how you are in real life and your feelings towards your friends there as well. Both of you have that odd tidbit about phones, where you have it with you all the time but you barely use it hahaha. Seriously though you're both quite brave and you both feel there's nothing that isn't important to you. You're both gentle and at times alone, and like Cloud you've felt a tremendous weight lifted off of you, in your case, your tendency to take other people's problems into yours for a long time.
I find myself to be Tifa, apart from the resemblance I have, I support you like she does and admire you a lot...
Rosin I feel is Aerith from her love for you and others, as well as always being there when you need that one final push.
The team is so big I can't make individual comparisons but I feel in general they match the other FFVII characters, they all share that common goal and you could say they believe in you.
The final part of the Bahamut fight I feel is a nice observation. Remember the big blast it does and Cloud is helped by the others? I feel that's like you not being able to do this alone, and you need their help. The blast Cloud enters represents the corruption and monotony and your neverending battle to not succumb to it, and like Cloud whenever you feel down and everything looks bleak... look who appear, hehe, Rosin/Aerith to give you that last push to get through it and defeat it.
