(One important point for dicussion is if droids have any business using this weapon.) I've never used any sranks myself, but I imagine srank demon mechs are amazing to use. All I've been making use of is slicer of fanat for demon and even that has been awesome, so I can only imagine the unmitigated pwn of using a mech to do it. Casts may have it reduced, but the benefit of demons is such that every class should try to have it available. 45% is still significant after 2 or 3 times imo.

Pic is epuc, nuff said.
As for the mechs, they're great on a RAmar/RAmarl for single target demonsing (tower enemies, maybe dorphons, etc.). However, since they can't have hit and demons already has a 50% activation rate, using them on a non-RA may prove difficult. As far as (RA)droids using them, if you like to play tower you can use them on Epsilon and perhaps other minibosses if you're having trouble killing them. I'd only recommend them outside of tower on droids if you are having difficulty dealing damage otherwise, whether it be due to your low level or complete lack of s/z. But to be honest, I wouldn't even recommend them to a fleshie outside of tower unless you, again, cannot deal damage any other way. Girtablulus come to mind as an enemy that may need demonsing, but either the force/fleshie hu can do this with a SoF or a fleshie RA can use a demons needle (girtas are multitarget remember).
All in all, its a nice utility weapon if you're lacking a bit in the ATP department or if you're facing down an enemy with massive HP/DEF.

i would say its a really handy weapon against enemies with large amounts of HP which should be given but i do think that droids can use it but not as much.

First, I would like to send my sincere apologies for not updating this thread. I have been extremely busy for the past week and I simply have not had time to do anything relating to "fun" or "free time." It is already Thursday, so I will just wait for Sunday to make a new topic. In the meantime, I will review this week's item.
Demon Mechs were my first S-Rank. Affectionately dubbed "Typro Mechgun," I quickly assimilated my pair into my common weapon set.
To be frank, these are amazing. RAmars and RAmarls can use these to take out almost any non-boss in a single combo: SSH. Yes, you read that correctly. Special, Special, Hard. A RAmar with a RA wall (and I would assume a RAmarl, although I have not tested it) is capable of actually hitting things with an opening Special attack provided the enemy does not have an abnormal amount of evp (Deldepth, Ill Gill, etc...) Two Specials drain a massive portion of the target's HP, and a Hard attack finishes off most enemies most of the time.
Of course, killing normal enemies with one Mechgun combo at a time is not very practical. Therefore, I usually reserve this item to the more powerful enemies. Hildes, Nano Dragons, Baranz, Bringers, Gibbles, Gi Gue, Meris, Biters, Dorphons, Astarks, and Zus will all fall to a solid SSH. Some require a little more luck than others (and not all Meri variants fall), but it certainly can work. Girts and Epsilons can also be taken down, but I find that SSS is more practical with them. Epsilon requires the massive Heaven Striker (or similar) atp in order to break his massive dfp barrier, and Girts have so much health that you can't take them out with one combo unless you are extremely lucky (and don't have a claw blocking its face).
Droids can definitely make use of this weapon. I can usually handle Ep1 and Ep4 enemies (excluding Girts) without too much trouble. A quick pop from an Arrest J-Cutter followed by some tactical Zerking will take them down quickly. Even the Ep2 "minibosses" will fall to normal attacks without too much trouble. However, there are two enemies in the game that practically require Demons to kill. Epsilon and a Girt.
The case for a Girt is simple. They have a freakishly huge amount of HP. You simply cannot take them down in a timely fashion if you plan to use traditional attacks. It can be assumed that you do not have support from a FO if you do not have Demons in the party (read: FO's should carry a Demons weapon). Slowly taking down a Girt, even if you keep him paralyzed, is a very lengthy and annoying process.
Epsilons are an even bigger threat. I'm not sure how a max atp HUcast matches up, but they have a lot of dfp. Especially at low levels, you will find that you cannot do respectable damage to Epsilon. Demon Mechs will save you here.
Summary: RAmar and RAmarl should definitely carry this weapon if at all possible whenever they are outside of Ep1. Droids can make use of this gun, but they don't really need it unless they are taking on an Epsilon. You cannot have this weapon with Hit, but FOnewms and FOnewearls are capable of hitting some enemies with this weapon and it is some of the highest single-target damage they can dish out.
It is only an Ep1 S-Rank, so you can pick it up cheaper than an Ep2. Demons is a 50 PD special, but it is one of the few non-Needle S-Ranks that is actually practical.

Oh great, an item that is beyond my grasp... I've never used one (and it would be kind of pointless, considering I have 3 casts) and I don't think I ever would be able to ( Damn C-Mode and 50 PDs).
But ages ago, I did a PW4 & saw these in action against Epsi, and I was impressed. And slightly jealous considering the only ULT character I have now does zero damage to Epsilon, even with Cannon Rouge (Yep, a RAcassy)
Pointless post really...

Not at all, thank you for contributing! 50 PD's is a valid excuse, but you don't need money to play cmode .
