Hello. I was kind of tired of just wandering around Scthack looking for random parties, so I thought it'd might be nice to be with a team where people are (hopefully) a little more dependable.
I have a lvl 123 HUnewearl and a level 30 something FOmarl. I also have about 10 years experience with this game since I've been playing since DC ep 1 days. However, I took a long break after a few months on the official BB server because Sega of America hates money. Therefore, there's a lot of new stuff that I'm not really familiar with.
I accept the rules. However, I had a question about the in game trading. Is that no in game trading just among the team or in general? If it's the latter, that makes things a little inconvenient, but it's something I could cope with. But clarification would be nice so I'm not confused later on.
On that note- C mode weekends also sounds like a lot of fun.

trading amongst team members is usually fine to do without the forums as far as i know (as we tend to trust each other for the most part and tend to just give each other stuff anyway) outside the team its trading through the forums or bust. it may seem a little tedious but its alot safer than many of the in game trades that go on with suspicious items and what not. while the trade forum may not be perfect, there is a much higher chance of hax or dupes being caught so its therefore the preferred route. on another note your application seems fine so as soon as tenshu gets on aim (he mysteriously vanished a while ago) or something i can get his approval and invite you. a little preemptive but welcome to the team

All right. That's fine. I just wanted to know ahead of time. ^_^
I get what you say about trading through forums being safer. I've been scammed twice these past two days trying to buy meseta stacks and the only legit trade I got was from a forum regular (so I figured he wouldn't hit and run me).

The official server for PSO BB had a huge laundry list of problems from FSODs, NOLs, nightly ship jacking, dupseta, dupe rares being rampant, hackers, etc.
I quit because my character got FSODed and I lost a level 200 mag and equips I worked very hard for.
Sega of America never really saw these problems as being very worthwhile as far as fixing, so instead they left them alone and let the server die a very quick death while a few hardcore souls remained in order to let Sega continue to milk money from them. Later, when these few people had enough of a life to leave, they took the server out back and shot it Old Yeller style.
You could tell they hated money in the first place because for the first two weeks of PSO BB, they only had episode 1 and 2 with Very Hard and Ultimate "locked" along with I think a level cap at like 40 or some insane nonsense like that.
They thought this business model would also be effective in PSU. Hence why last time I checked, PSU had less than 300 users peak time vs. 5k users when it first started.
EDIT #2: Uh... I'm not sure how long you've been with PSO, but FSOD = frozen screen of death where players would intentionally enter your room to fuck you up (there was one that erased everything you had equipped and another that erased everything you didn't have equipped... so players stopped carrying around any items they cared about). NOL = the same sort of glitch, except your character would permanently turn into Nol (the NPC).

I'm sorry, I fell asleep from studying earlier, but yes, Bohemian Polka is good. I'll be able to invite you after I take this last final, if there's anyone else available before me, they can too.
Welcome to the team, I'll unlock your forum account in advance.
Edit: I see you're online so I can do it now.

You're not missing out on much. It wasn't really fun to experience.
The only thing I legitly liked were the anniversary quests and the team points event. For once there was a use for Booma Arms and Dragon Slayers. I do hope that this server eventually has an event like that.
Ok. I can go online now. Just let me know where to meet.
